Generational Lens Therapy

I work with relationships where the individuals find themselves in arguments that lead to conflict, feeling stuck and in turmoil. Where the couple finds themselves feeling like hamsters on a hamster wheel, running and getting nowhere. You find that lasting solutions escape you, partly due to each of you coming from differing family backgrounds with conflicting family values and beliefs. You find yourself trying to communicate and solve your problems to which you can’t find the solutions. When there is no solution, you walk away and find that you don’t resolve the fight. You fear you may lose yourself by giving in if you don’t fight to remain right. You ruminate in your thoughts and believe you are alone in this world, you don’t have anyone for yourself and you need to sacrifice yourself and be there for everyone else at the cost of losing who you are in this relationship. Therapy with me will provide skills to communicate effectively and provide practical solutions that will get you off of your hamster wheel so you can feel connected to your loved one. Where you are able to be more vulnerable and your patterns will no longer control the outcome. We will move your relationship toward meeting your goals so you can feel more connected.
